Will using compatible or aftermarket printing supplies void their printer's warranty?
Most printer manufacturers would like you to
think so. They want you to buyt their expensive,
name-brand ink.
But the fact is that your printer warranty cannot
be voided simply because you choose to use compatible
ink or toner products unless the manufacturer
can prove that the compatible ink product caused
direct damage to your printer.
In some cases,
the manufacturer may choose not to repair your
printer. Your warranty would remain in effect
for all other warranty issues.
